There are a number of different start-up busienss grant programs that the Canadian government provides, and these include:

    1. Non repayable government grants
    2. Partial contributions
    3. Conditionally repayable government grants

Each of the grants, having it’s own pros and cons.

Here is a bit more to help you learn more about the 3 types of government grants for small businesses.

    So, are you eligible?

There is no straight, immediate, yes or no answer.

Start-up business grants vary from business to business, industry to industry and from location to location.

To find out if you are eligible for any start-up busing grants in Canada, best thing to do is to speak to a funding expert who can review your specific situation and help.

You can call a Canada Startups expert here 1-800-288-9691 and discuss your start-up grant and funding options.

    For the general criteria:

    1. Ensure you have a solid business plan

    2. 3  year financial (exiting or projected)

    3. Know the programs you want to apply to (meet the criteria)

    4. Apply on time

    5. Ensure your applications are 100% perfect

Not sure if you’re eligible for start-up grant options?

The Canadian government has nearly a 1,000 government funding programs to apply to.

While the majority of the “well-researched-publci” knows abbot the top 10-20 programs, there are hundreds of options that require intense research to discover.

These options are often from local, inimical, provincial and federal governments, and often run by agencies with no marketing budget. Making it extreme hard to promote and get the programs in front of everyone.

But not to worry, if you’re not eligible for start-up business grants in Canada, plenty of other options to consider.

    These other options include:

    • Government loans
      • Low interest loans
      • No interest loans
      • Government guaranteed loans
