The Canadian government offers funding in the form of grants as well as loans. There are loans for small business, personal, educational, and housing needs, as there are grants for these purposes. As far as loans go, they may be easier and quicker to apply for than grants. However, they still have eligibility terms that must be met. They normally are offered for more general uses than grants, and most of them require repayment, though, some do not. Loans also have interest rates in some cases, though, some have no interest. The loans offered by the government are generally more favourable than bank loans, however, and there are even some which are made available for people who have no credit or bad credit.
