$12 Million Government Funding for Loblaws Grocery Store

Announced today, the Canadian government is providing $12 million in government funding for Loblaws grocery store to help them install lower emission refrigeration systems in 370 stores across Canada.
While the government funding is welcomes by the Loblaws Companies Ltd, many Canadians are question why the public dollars are being used towards such a large and already way profitable company.

Aboriginal First Nation Funding Program Changes

The federal government of Canada announced, July 25th 2017 that the Aboriginal First Nations will now be able to carry over the funding received from year to year in order to be able to complete projects (instead of having to return the money).

Alberta Government Increases It’s Micro-Grant Funding Programs For Small Businesses

As seen on CBC.ca, the Alberta government is doubling it’s micro grant funding program to help small business owners sell their products/services in other countries.
This funding program was initially launched in Alberta in January of 2017.
Economic Development Minister Deron Bilous announced at the Global Petroleum Show in Calgary that the $5,000 grants will be doubled to a maximum of $10,000.
